10th Anniversary

My wife and I are celebrating our 10th anniversary this September. We%26#39;re looking for a romantic get-away that we can drive to (we live in Manhattan.)

I%26#39;ve looked into the Emerson Spa in upstate New York, but have read some so-so reviews. Looked into Mayflower Inn up in Washington, CT but it was booked up - also, not sure about it.

Something in New Hope, maybe?

We want something special, romantic - leaving the kids behind.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

10th Anniversary

Ceasers Pocono Palace or Ceasers Cove Haven is nice. We have stayed in the Champagne Towers and Roman Towers and the rooms are very nice but expensive.

The Woolverton Inn in Stockton, NJ is exquisite, with upscale rooms in the Inn itself and several luxury cottage on the property. Their website has pictures and details about each accommodation. Be prepared to pay, though, especially if you go over a weekend - definitely a place to splurge for a special occasion. Stockton is just across the Delaware River from New Hope.

The bischwind in Bear creek Pa (poconos) is amazing. All the rooms are suites and the grounds are out of this world. And did I mention the food. Filet migon for breakfast shrimp scampi. They have a suite called the teddy rosevelt suite that he actually used to saty in when he visited pa. They have a website.
