I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for accommodations for a family of 6 in Pittsburgh without spending an arm %26amp; a leg. We are going in August.
Place to stay in PittsburghI don%26#39;t know what ';an arm and a leg'; is for a family of 6, but if you all want to stay in one room, you%26#39;ll need to look at a suites hotel.
There are a couple that come to mind out by the airport--Embassy Suites and SpringHill Suites. I%26#39;ve stayed at the Embassy Suites and it%26#39;s nice--pretty much like all Embassy Suites. Their rate ranges from $125 to $250 for August. The SpringHill Suites (where I have not stayed) shows a rate of $119 p.n. for some dates in August.
The Residence Inn University/Medical Center is located in a quiet neighborhood in Oakland near the campuses of the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University. I%26#39;ve stayed here twice and really liked it for our family. They show a rate of around $280 for August.
