Gyms in State College

Hi

Visiting State College again while my son visits Woodward Camp. I am recovering from a knee op, and would like to use a gym to help my recovery. Are there any gyms with perhaps a sauna attached. I prefer just doing cardio vascular exercise. I would prefer paying a bit extra for a nice atmosphere, rather than a muscle builders small gym.

There are a few gyms in town I am not sure if any have a Sauna. Although they do not have a sauna I would recommend Victory Sports (nice environment) or the North Club (lots of cardio equipment). Where are you staying? Checkout the website statecollege.com to get information about the town and businesses.

Thanks for both your responses on gym and bikes. I am staying at Holiday Inn Express in Williamsburg square. Stayed in the Square for 3 years running, as we get Camp discount for any of the Shaner Group of hotels $79 per night. It is almost a shame we get the dicount as it discourages staying anywhere else. I will be hiring rather than bringing a bike. The bike shop rates are really cheap as the £/$ rate is in our favour at the moment. My wife an I normallty go walking in the Stae Parks around Stae College. But this year she cannot get the time off work. So I will be doing a lot of cycling and Gym (ing). Then puting all the weight back on at all the nices restaurants you have downtown.

If you haven%26#39;t seen this already, I recommend getting a purple lizard map which has the bike paths labeled on them. You can pick them up at any of the bike shops. If you have any other questions I%26#39;ll keep an eye on this forum. Have a great trip and good luck with the knee.
