We%26#39;ve got just about 4 or 5 hours to visit Gettysburg on our way from KY to Cape Cod. Our 12 year old son is nuts about the Civil War, especially the Battle of Gettysburg. We want to make the most of it for him.
Any suggestions?

Go to the brand new visitor%26#39;s center and tour the museum. Then hire a licensed battlefield guide for the best 2 hours of your son%26#39;s life!

I second Debjim%26#39;s excellent suggestion. The licensed guides really bring the history of the battle to life.
With the short time you%26#39;ve got, spend maybe an hour+ seeing what you can of the museum (visitor center) and hire a guide to tour the battlefield.
Take the 3 hour Double Decker tour!
