Philadelphia Airport

Hello every one,

We need some advice ........

We are flying from Buffalo - Philadelphia On US-Air for an International connection to Gatwick London.

According to our ticket the depature terminal is ';Termanal: A'; at Philadelphia airport.

I don%26#39;t know at which terminal the flight will arrive at; but is there an internal walk-way that will take us to Terminal:A? Or do we have to take a bus between terminals? How long will it take to do this transfer between terminals?

Thanks

Philadelphia Airport

Yes, it is completely connected inside, and yes, you will walk. And walk. And walk. There are a few moving walkways to help. Wear comfortable shoes. Also, there are two Terminal A%26#39;s- A east and A west. Your flight info will be posted once you get to PHL.

Soxfan,

You were lucky. We don%26#39;t want to encourage anyone into thinking they can get a cab after the game. Most cab drivers avoid the area due to traffic and the slim chances of a fare.

owlyn,

Thanks for the post. I hope our flight arrives on time and hopefully will transfer our luggage from Buffalo to Gatwick. I wish we had more time to explore the area. May be next time….

Don’t understand your second post; may be it meant to do in a different forum thread.

Thanks

I believe there is one exception to owlyn%26#39;s response, which is Terminal F, the furthest point from A. Connection is made by a bus, but still within the secure area. At least this was true about a month ago.

Thats correct. If you land at terminal F, there is a shuttle bus to Gate 16 in terminal C. It runs quite often. Every other terminal is walkable airside. US Air primarily lands at F for USAir Express flights and B/C for US Air Domestic.

There%26#39;s 2 A terminals in PHL: A-East (used mainly by other airlines with international departures), and A-West (US Airways only). Your London Gatwick flight will depart from A-West, which is quite a hike from the other terminals (no joke).

If you fly US Airways Express you will arrive arrive at terminal F so go to gate F10 and take the shuttle over to terminal C, like the previous poster said. Then stay inside the C terminal at all times and follow the signs to A terminal. Once in A, follow the signs to A West and find your gate. -OR- You can request an electric car to take you over. If you make the request while in Buffalo, the car may be waiting for you when you arrive in PHL or at least you won%26#39;t have to wait long for one to become available.

Have a safe trip!

Do you know what type of plane you are flying in on? Typically US Air Express runs on Embraer or Dehavilland express jets into Terminal F. Airbus or Boeings from B%26#39;lo will typically fly into terminal B or A.

I%26#39;ve done the flight several times - it%26#39;s quick and painless. B and A-West (International) isn%26#39;t too bad of a walk.

What is your layover time?
