I%26#39;m thinking about a daytrip to Amish country next week and would like to have supper with an Amish family. The two names I had gotten, the Fishers and Zooks, won%26#39;t work because the Fishers no longer host people (mentioned in another thread on this forum), and the Zooks are only doing it on Tuesday next week. Some B%26amp;B%26#39;s will arrange it for you, but you have to be a guest there, and this is only a daytrip.
Does anyone know of a way to make such an arrangement and/or can give me some names of families who host? Please send me a message. Thank you!!

Supper at Amish homeI looked over the link provided and didn%26#39;t see anything that was a true Amish family dinner. The Amish farm mentioned is a non-Amish enterprise (went there, saw that). I think you will find on other threads that this is something the Amish do in a very low key way since they do not have any restaurant licenses and are getting some pressure from the state on this.
I posted this link but it was the only thing that came even close. The controversy is very true, the restaurant owners are up in arms because the Amish aren%26#39;t required to follow the licensing laws that must be complied to by other owners. There are several articles that you can google which address this. Don%26#39;t look for anything on a Sunday, even Yoder%26#39;s in New Holland is closed. The Amish do not work on Sunday if the restaurant is truly Amish.
