Looking for a hotel recommendation in the K of P area from Aug 28 - Sept 2. Looking for the best deal- doesn%26#39;t need to be fancy, just clean - a pool or fridge/microwave would be nice extras but not necessity. It%26#39;s just my husband and I that will be travelling to visit family in Malvern and doing site-seeing - we will have a car rental. Is it cheaper to get a car rental away from the airport? Any advice or suggestions are appreciated! I have never been to the Eastern US.
Hotel near King of PrussiaWhy do you want to stay in King of Prussia? I think it would be more convenient for you to stay in Malvern. Malvern has a nicer feel to it than King of Prussia, which is a crossroads of major highways and a large regional shopping mall (worth a visit).
From Malvern, you would be convenient to the R-5 regional rail line that takes you into center city philadelphia, preferable to driving.

Hotel near King of PrussiaIn KOP there%26#39;s a Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza, both by the KOP mall.
But I agree with the previous post. There%26#39;s actually more options in Malvern/Great Valley (see below). KOP is only a 10 minute car ride in case you want to visit the mall.
The Desmond has a nice restaurant. Homestead is really nice. I%26#39;ve used them twice in FL. It%26#39;s a hotel in the form of studio apartments with a fridge, microwave, and pool. It%26#39;s usually less than $100 a night.

I am not going to rehash what was posted previously but I am def. going to concur that you are much better off staying in the malvern area, it is much nicer and def. quieter
Thanks so much for the advice! I will check your suggestions.
I%26#39;d vote for Malvern, too. If you want to do some shopping, go to either the Limerick(Phila Premium Outlets) or Lancaster outlets, unless you want to over-pay or souvenir shop at the over-hyped KoP mall.
Have a nice stay.
The Finefoodandfun.com Dollar Store below allows you to purchase gift certificate for half or less than their original value. But they are actually redeemed for the entire original value. There%26#39;s one for The Desmond hotel that you can purchase for $12.50 and redeem for $25.00.
