Where to stay with 3 kids?

Looking for hotel with nice pool within 1/2 hour drive of Hershey Park that will accomodate 2 adults and 3 kids (11,11 and 15) in one room.

Possible?

When I went with my kids, we stayed at the Comfort Inn down the road. 2 miles from the park. It%26#39;s called COMFORT INN AT THE PARK. I don%26#39;t know if you are on a budget because it%26#39;s pretty pricey. However, they had a very big indoor pool which was clean and heated. The breakfast the next morning was excellent. They had everything. A lot of places to sit down to eat also. Like I said, it%26#39;s only 2 miles down the road and it%26#39;s also around many restaurants. Bob Evans, Pizza Hut, Papa John%26#39;s, Wendy%26#39;s etc....Back in August of 2006 when we went it was $170 a night.

Where to stay with 3 kids?

Not really on a budget, just want to find a place that will accomodate 5 people. You did not mention if the Comfort Inn has rooms which will accomodate all of us (the purpose of my OP)

If I were in your situation, I might consider the Homewood Suites (Harrisburg East location). It is about 20-25 minutes from the park, but is not a difficult drive. The hotel gets rave reviews on TA, and your family would have plenty of room to spread out, as well as hot breakfast every morning.

I%26#39;d like to suggest a few place although they are in Lancaster a bit further than 30 mins. Willow Valley Resort is great for kids and have a great pool scene also with a little indoor waterpark. my second choice is Bird in Hand Family Inn, also has a nice pool scene. Both of these places book up quick so i would suggest booking soon.

We stayed at the brand new Marriott Towneplace Suites in Hummelstown (I think). It was a 10 minute easy drive to park. Hotel was very nice - we had an efficiency suite w/King Bed and pull out sofa and full size kitchen w/stainless appliances but we only had 2 kids. They have bigger rooms. Very nice property and it just opened in May. The breakfast was good too - continental w/cereals, bagels, yogurt, etc.

Towneplace Suites a noisy hotel...from all the people with kids staying there...perfect for familys who don%26#39;t mind the noise since their kids are just as noisey...couples and the elderly should stay somewhere else. Otherwise its ok...just noisy!

FYI the Towneplace Suites is in Harrisburg not Hummelstown. Its located about 8-10 or so miles from Hershey Park about a quick 15 minute drive from the hotel!

We always stay at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center. Its only about 15 min away. I have 3 kids also (7, 10, 14). It has a nice pool also.

Hershey Lodge is the pits. We just stayed there. The check in process was a nightmare. The pool was so crowded you couldn%26#39;t see the water (ok, I%26#39;m exaggerating a bit). The rooms were small and a bit outdated. The bathroom smelled a bit mildewy. The only good thing about the Hershey Lodge were the discounted tickets and the Sweet Start into the park.
