help from the hotwire experts?

i%26#39;ve booked us (couple + 2 year old) into the hampton inn by the convention centre for july 27th to the 1st of aug but i%26#39;m starting to second-guess my choice after reading some of your comments....

would the hotwire experts mind deciphering for me which hotels are available for that time?

i can narrow it down a bit in that we%26#39;d like to have a pool and be able to walk to at least some of the sites.

thanks in advance. i%26#39;m blown away by how helpful everyone is on this forum. :)

Suzanne, our resident Hotwire expert is on vacation now, but she will probably check in before the end of the week. If you can hold on for a couple of days, she can give you some good guidance.

The 3 star hotel in Old City/Penns Landing at $145 a night has to be the Holiday Inn at 4th and Arch, right in the historic district. No other 3* in that area has all those ammenities.

Lynn

OK, here I am, at the library and checking in (and then heading to the beach!)

On Hotwire for your dates, with a pool:

There is a 3* hotel in Center City East for $96/night - looks to be the Hilton Garden Inn

3* hotel in Olde Town (really Old City)/Penn%26#39;s Landing for $153/night is, as Lynn suggested, the Holiday Inn Indepedence.

Location is better at the Holiday Inn by about 6 blocks, but price is better at Hilton Garden. I like the HGI%26#39;s rooms better, but have not stayed at the Holiday Inn since the renovation. Indoor pool and jacuzzi at HGI and outdoor pool at Holiday Inn. Hope this helps a bit, let me know if you have questions...

Suzanne

Sorry to tag on to this thread..

but any idea what the 3.5 star hotel in Center City East would be? For our night in Philly (7/24) there is a 3.5 star hotel for 118.00

Thanks!
