Hello,
We are planning our first trip to Pittsburgh and would like Downtown hotel recomendations. I am looking for somthing around 150.00 a night and free parking. We are planning two nights during labor day weekend.
Any suggestions on fun things to do is also welcome.

hotel PittsburghWith your price constraints you might want to look at the Greentree area or Airport area, both of which are an easy drive into downtown (assuming no large concerts or sporting events.) The above activity suggestions are good; the only thing I would add would be an evening stroll on the South Side for dinner and drinks.
Not sure exactly what days you are looking for. Hotwire.com is currently showing a 4 star hotel available for the Saturday and Sunday night of Labor Day weekend at $109 per night. No free parking, but that should be less that $41.
If you choose your own price at priceline.com, you are likely to get it even less than $109.

Typically $80-90 wins a night downtown on Priceline bid your price. Labor Day and baseball weekends might change things a bit. For bidding hints, check biddingfortravel.com and betterbidding.com.
