Can anybody tell me something good about the Villas? Seems like reviews and ratings get worse and worse! Are they really that bad! I am suppose to stay at this resort in June 2006 with my family of five. Would be nice to get some honest opinions. Thanks.
Villas at Tree Top/Fairway in BushkillI stayed at the Tree Top Villas January 22 through 28 in a one bedroom unit. The unit was very nicely appointed, clean, and reasonably spacious. MUCH better than a hotel and at about the same price. My unit overlooked the golf course, so I had a clear view down the mountain.
The restaurants available on resort property are highly overrated and I%26#39;d suggest that you do a little driving to find some off-resort restaurants. As it was, I chose to fix ablout half of my meals (the full kitchen is more convenient than the restauants). All in all, I was pleased with the acomodations, but I wouldn%26#39;t view Bushkill as a ';destination'; area because there are so few activities.
Villas at Tree Top/Fairway in BushkillWe stayed in treetop villas from 2/21-2/24 in a one bedroom duplex. Ours was further back in the complex with a view of the mountain. The villa was really very nice with nice amenities--dvd player, fireplace, fully stocked kitchen(clean dishes, pots and pans, etc). It was very cozy and we spent much time there that my daughter didn%26#39;t want to leave it. The furniture was updated, a little worn but nice, also lots of hot water in the shower. You will be pleasantly surprised when you see it and don%26#39;t listen to the negatives. As stated before it is so much better than staying in a hotel room and you get so much more for the same price. There is even a washer and dryer in the hallway. The walk to the resort across the road isn%26#39;t bad or you can choose to drive or take their shuttle bus.
We just stayed in the tree top villas 5 days ago (April 2006). What a disappointment! We had to be moved 3 times in one day - we must have had one of the oldest units - very worn, dilapidated, and not very clean. The hot tub was not properly cleaned, and someone left purple dye of some sort in there, so my nails and skin were purple for the remainder of our trip. It was extremely crowded - couldn%26#39;t even get near the pools - the restaurants were mediocre at best... we checked out early. The only nice thing I can say is that the staff was pretty nice, they refunded our money with little problem. We did get the impression that it happens a lot though... We ended up moving to the Quality Inn in Stroudsburg (about 20 minutes away) They had very nice staff, the room was beautiful and there were more things to do out that way (little shops on the main street, a mall, etc) Good luck!
There was no dead body under the bed, although it smelled that way.
Well - how was it? We leave tomorrow and I hope that the children are not disappointed.
I also read all the reviews and was very upset about our up coming trip to tree tops. I called treetops a week before going there and told them all of my concerns about ALL the BAD reviews. they acknowledged them, apoligized and told me honestly to look over the resort upon arriving and NOT unpack the car until we saw the 2 villas in which we were going to stay. we had 2 ,3 floor units and I must say we were very pleased. I strongly suggest that whomever plans on staying there, request {strongly} a refurbised unit. both our villas were very clean, had all the kitchen things we needed to cook a few meal,ex: pots, pans, dishes, serving things etc. we had a unit that slept 8 comfortably, another slept 6. washer and drier was a nice touch. yes carpet was stained and sofa a little lumpy to sit on but cleanliness was our main concern and it was very clean. good things were 5 pools, great game room for kids...even adults enjoyed it!!, close to a really great water park called Camel Beach, and a few other attractions. trash was picked up regularly right outside our unit. need a car to get around the grounds although there was a shuttle we did not use it. our 2nd unit had a bit of a wasp problem but we did not report it{don%26#39;t like chemicals} and the airconditioning units are not very powerful . otherwise I would stay there again. hope this helps anyone planning on staying there.

I stayed at the villas January 2008 and I was extremely disappointed. I had the two bedroom unit with the loft. There was peeling paint and some brownish residue on the bathroom door. The furniture looked like it came from an old thrift shop not to mention the sofa was torn. I didn%26#39;t even want to put dishes in the dishwasher because it looked like it hadn%26#39;t been cleaned in months. I would not recommend this resort to anyone.
I think there%26#39;s a big differentiation between the Villas at Tree Tops and the Villas at Fairways.
I%26#39;ve heard positive reviews of the Fairways, esp. the renovated 3bedroom units.
Any thoughts?
We joined this timeshare at the villas at tree tops once you join your stuck. The annual dues increase just about every year. And the perfect villas that your shown when you sign up are just for show. When you stay at the resort keep in mind , the amount of people use these villas. There is usually something that is wrong with the place. the bathrooms have stains carpet stains cigarette burns on floors etc also you will not have a easy time trying to sell My advice is to go there, if your not happy with your villa insist on another room. And do not join because its not what they want you to believe.
