Chicago to Pittsburgh in mid-August

I%26#39;m taking a few days to travel with my family (two teens) from Chicago to Pittsburgh in mid-August. Travelling across the 80/90 to the 30 South.

Any suggestions of places to go, things to see along this route?

What are the interests? If they are into music the Rock Hall of Fame in Cleveland is fantastic. Football - Canton Pro Football Hall of Fame would be the choice.
