Port of Philadelphia-cruise ship sailing

I just booked a cruise out of Philadelphia. We will be sailing on NCL Majesty in October. Any information on sailing out of Philadelphia will be helpful. Can you park a car for the week? Is it easy to get there? I checked out GOOGLE, and couldn%26#39;t find anything.

Thanks in advance,

Mary Lou

This should be a good starting point:

Try this. Click on Philadelphia and you%26#39;ll find parking info for the pier.

Thank you both for the information on the Port of Philadephia. the information states that there is only parking for 300 cars. Does anyone knoow if this is enough? I would hate to get there and have the lot full.

Any information about parking, and if you can prepay or reserve a space for the cruise week.

Thank you,

Mary Lou

Great question. Sadly, I can%26#39;t seem to get you an answer! I called the port folks at the parking area and they say yes, it fills up, sometimes. How often? No clue.

I%26#39;ll try the office when I can this week and see if I can get a better answer.

Hi Marylou,

FYI ~ We cruised with RCI out of Philly two summers ago and had no problem with parking. Our ';official'; boarding time was at 1:30, but Royal Caribbean starting boarding passengers at 11:00, so we took a chance by arriving at 11:30 hoping to board early and they allowed us to do so without any problems. My suggestion is to check a cruise board and see what people say about NCL%26#39;s boarding policy. If they are lenient with the times, get there as early as possible to avoid any parking issues.

A good friend of mine used to work onboard Empress of the Seas so I would pick him up every Saturday and take him into town. I never had a problem with parking or heard anybody having any issues with it. Keep in mind that even though it may sound like a small lot, not everybody parks. Most people still fly into the departure port city. And with the gasoline prices these days, I%26#39;m guessing that nearby residents will either take the train or take a small plane ride rather than driving. You shouldn%26#39;t have a problem.

One thing to remember: should you travel I95 (N or S), keep left at the end of the ramp of exit 17 - N/Broad St. (you%26#39;ll see the Wachovia Spectrum on your right) as you will immediately make a left onto the other direction of Broad St. for the Navy Yard and cruise ships port area.
