Got back yesterday from 3 days in Pittsburgh. Thanks to great advice from here I think we made the most of our time. Two small quibbles-The beer buying situation-really strange that we had to trek to Northside (?) to be able to buy a couple of cases of beer. Quite the adventure. Also someone on here said the people at the Duquesne Incline were much nicer than the Monongahela. Scary to think that the Incline Nazi was the nicer of the two. Not really awful-but a heck of a story for the ride back to Ohio!
We did the Strip Saturday and had breakfast at DeLuca%26#39;s and lunch at Primanti%26#39;s. Perfect. Dinner Friday at Grill 36 and got to see the fireworks after the game. Friday we started with breakfast at Steel City Diner and then just walked all over the city-stopping anywhere that looked interesting. Thursday we Inclined and had dinner at Coal Hill-awesome views-then over to Station Square.
Back to work today so I can catch up on rest and eat a salad or two!!
Thanks again for the great advice
Thanks for the help-what a fun week-end
Glad you had a good time. Thanks for the feedback!

Just noticed you%26#39;re from Loveland. We spent July 4th weekend there visiting my sister. She opened a candy store in the historical downtown area a couple years ago. What a lovely town you have. The parade, fireworks, etc. were quintessential small town middle America. We watched the parade from in front of Loveland Sweets and then had a late dinner at Paxton%26#39;s before the fireworks. We had a wonderful weekend! (And the free candy and ice cream we%26#39;re a nice bonus - pays to be related to the owner!)
