Please suggest a B%26amp;B near I-80 in Northeast PA. After a week of vacationing in CT my husband and I will drive home to the Cleveland area from Wethersfield (near Hartford). En route we%26#39;ll stop in Katonah NY to view an exhibition at the art museum. From there we%26#39;ll drive south in the Hudson Valley to NJ where we%26#39;ll pick up I-80 to head west. Where can we stop for the night?

The Bischwind B%26amp;B is supposed to be very nice - I%26#39;ve been passing it since I was a small child, coming in from my NJ home to visit family in northeast PA. It%26#39;s a large English tutor-style manor house idyllically set beside a lake/dam in Bear Creek, PA. From 80W, take PA 115N (exit 284) towards Blakeslee/Wilkes-Barre. Bischwind is right on 115, about 13 miles down, on the right. Check out their website for room pictures %26amp; rates.

What a gorgeous Tudor estate! I%26#39;ll check to see if there%26#39;s a minimum stay required for weekends.
I hope it works out for you, and if you do stay there, please post a review when you return home - I now live about 20 minutes from it and have been dying to check in for a night!
Thanks for recommending Bischwind B%26amp;B, pawriter. The TA reviews are so superlative that I%26#39;m sorry we%26#39;ll be staying just one night. Fortunately there%26#39;s no minimum stay that Friday, and three rooms are available.
Coincidentally we%26#39;ll be staying at another 1890s home-turned-B%26amp;B for part of our vacation in CT.
We%26#39;re set with a reservation for the Blue Room. Again, thanks, pawriter. Bischwind B%26amp;B looks like a perfect way to conclude our vacation. I%26#39;ll write a review when we get home.
I have stayed in the Bischwind-- in the blue room! you will absolutely love it. We also stayed only one night and wished it could have been longer, but it was wonderful. The innkeepers are so friendly and the breakfast is out of this world. Enjoy your stay!
Glad you found a great place to stay. For another trip keep the small town of Lewisburg Pa --just off 80 south of Williamsport - in mind. This is a lovely college town, nice B%26amp;B%26#39;s with a beautiful Main St with art galleries, pubs, theatre for an evening stroll.-
Thanks for the comments about Bischwind and other good lodging options near I-80. It%26#39;s so heartening that I%26#39;ve decided to break up our drive to CT as well as our trip back. Thinking of Terra Nova House in Grove City. That would mean a drive of about 2 hours after work on Friday and then 7 more hours Saturday rather than a stretch of 9 hours. My arthritic joints would definitely prefer that.
A night in the blue room was a perfect peace-filled end to our vacation. With taxes it was just under $200 -- the most affordable of the B%26amp;B%26#39;s rooms but quite lovely and comfortable. Other grander rooms were occupied by guests preparing for a wedding at the inn, but even with all that activity, our hostess Billi couldn%26#39;t have been more hospitable to us. She%26#39;s as effervescent as the mansion is imposing...an interesting combination.
